I love what I do! For several years, now, it has been my distinct privilege to serve as the Executive Director of IFCA International. In my travels I have not only crisscrossed the United States but have visited many foreign lands as well. In every situation my role has been to represent IFCA International, a Fellowship I dearly love. That responsibility has required a wide variety of ministry skills including: faithful communication of God's Word and of the values and goals of our Fellowship, encouraging discouraged and inexperienced servants of God, comforting grieving and wounded saints, admonishing the complacent and the contrary, rejoicing with the victorious and at least a dozen other activities which are part and parcel of my ministry each day.
All of this has given me an intimate sense of the heartbeat of our Fellowship that I could never have had otherwise. That intimacy has many times caused me to rejoice with great joy and praise to God. At other times it has caused me to reflect with great sadness and prayer to God as I was faced with the enormity of what yet needs to be done if the occasions for rejoicing are to be more frequent and prolonged in the years ahead.
As I have experienced this ministry as Executive Director, God has burdened me with a vision for IFCA International that has been distilled into the 2020 Strategic Plan. This plan, shared in summary fashion at the Tulsa convention, sets forth what I believe IFCA International can "look like" in the year 2020. It is broadly inclusive of almost every aspect of our Fellowship and is framed around specific and aggressive, yet attainable, goals for the growth and development of our Fellowship. I believe that God's present purpose in my life is to lead our Fellowship to reach and seek to attain those things contained in this strategic vision for the future. I cannot do it alone, however.
In the months and years to come, as the story of IFCA's 2020 Strategic Plan is progressively laid out, fleshed out and lived out, I am praying that you will help to make it "our story" as we do it together for the glory of the Lord Jesus!
