Church Financial Consultation
It is increasingly important in today's world for local churches to exercise special care in every area related to the church's financial operations.  Government regulations and requirements are sometimes complex, easily mis-understood and are subject to change over time.
Furthermore, being above reproach in financial affairs, and demonstrating that things are being done "decently and in order," engenders the confidence and credibility so necessary to effective leadership.  It also protects the ministry of the church and the testimony of Christ.
To assist IFCA churches in these and other areas of financial activity we have provided a list of resources and contacts as well as personal counsel offered by our Director of Finance and Operations, Mr. Tom Olson.  Some of those areas where help is available are as follows:
  • How to set up a strong system of accountability for handling church finances
  • The Pastor's dual status under IRS rules
  • Issues involving Health, Building, Liability and Workman's Comp. insurance
  • Creating a church budget and accounts system
